so what will the Iraq War Memorial Look Like?
Edited on Sat May-28-05 10:20 AM by mopaul
and how many millions will be spent to design and build it? will it have the names of the thousands (plural) who sacrificed for this 'glorious' mission?

will it show the weapons of mass destruction that never existed? will it have bush's lying face anywhere on it? will it show flag draped caskets against a backdrop of the falling twin towers?

are they designing the accursed thing, even now?

4. It took 40 years to get a Korean War Memorial and about 55,000
Americans died,thank to a U.N."police action"

I repeat,55,000 in THREE years. I don't think we have to concern ourselves with an Iraq war memorial just yet.

it will be a soldier looking in and giving a thumbs up.

That should summarize the whole story and memory of the Iraq war.

6. A large countertop, strewn with coins.
Each coin has a soldier's name on it.

Behind the counter is satan, smiling gleefully.

Uncle sam, also smiling, is turning to walk away with a gallon of oil.

11. I like that, but let's not let them get away with chump change
I see an enormous stream of dollar bills being funneled down into a black hole. Sucked down into the funnel are not only the $300 billion spent so far but soldiers, sailors, marines, airmen, and civilians -- oh, don't forget the civilians.

There are flights of stairs to take the viewer below ground to see where the incredible stream of talent and treasure is being sucked (we'll put in an elevator for those who can't negotiate stairs). At the bottom of the black hole the money has been churned up with all the bodies and is being blown out all over a bunch of defense contractors (Halliburton, naturally, as well as Bechtel and Custer Battles), who are swimming gleefully in the blood-stained lucre.

And way over to the side, in a glass-walled cubicle is a figure representing Saddam Hussein, standing in his shorts, endlessly ironing a pair of Dockers.

16. It will be financed and sponsored by Halliburton, Exxon, Bechtel...
I just saw the Korean Memorial yesterday. "Freedom Is Not Free" was posted on it. I was a little ashamed. The puppet state in South Korea was never free until its own people fought it -- probably under intense US protest.
