CSPAN call in question this AM: "Should Frist Resign?"
...and as the majority of callers were SUPPORTERS of Frist...hilarity insued.

"I...um...think that Mr. Frist is a good man. Yea...yea...he's a GOOOOD man. And....Mr McCain is a bad person. See...some people are goooood. And um....some people...um...ya know...some people are EEEEEvil (I pictured Mike Myers with a pinky to his lips). And there is this on going battle...um...um...ya know...between goooood....and EEEEevil. And Mr Frist is a goooood man...um...and...um so he needs to stay. Ya know?"

"Okay...thank you for your..."

"YEA...um....Bill Frist is goooood....and..."

click

And there were several Republican Verbal Barbarians just like that one...one after the other.

Are ALL these people as mindless and idiotic as these callers? My Father's a blind repub supporter...but he has his Doctorate (which makes even less sense) and is articulate. But yet it's like they just argue lock step.

With the dems I hear...there is articulation with the majority of them...there is basis for their arguments...and good debate COULD be laid down between the two parties....

and THEN we hear from the "Valley Girls" of politics...."yea...um...like...gooooood.....eeeeevil....absolutes (they actually don't use the word "absolutes"...because that word is too "50 cent" to fall into their vocabulary)...like...um...gag me with a spoon."

Please, Lord, afflict these people with some education.

3. I think he should stay....
Edited on Sat May-28-05 06:58 AM by Buddyblazon
he's been great for the Democrats. He's done more for our movement than Bush has ever done.

He's making Reid look like a political Superman. I know Reid has something to do with that...but Frist is pushing political view in the other direction more than Reid has done a good job.

I would've never thunk ( :) ) that Reid would've done such a great job. But he's given Frist just enough rope to hang himself with.

The past few weeks have been damn entertaining. I haven't been this politically amused for years.

5. I heard it....
Republican's think that if they all say it...it MUST be true.

"Liberal press...liberal press....hey...you....liberal press."

If I hear the response, "Facts? Open your ears."... from one of them one more time....I don't know if I'll be able to contain myself.

God...Grant me patience.

Or in Frist's mind..."God...Grant me PATIENTS."

9. good idea, he can help repair those poor soldiers
and work in the less than pristine conditions of a field hospital, instead of the luxury surgery suites he had at Vanderbilt and St Thomas

7. The only way Cspan would ask that question is if Rove WANTED it asked.
How many times did Cspan ask "Has the UN lost its relevance?"

8. Sorry...
I'm not making it up. That was the question they were asking. "Should Bill Frist resign?". They had it on the screen for at least a half hour.

11. You misread my post. I believe Cspan is doing EXACTLY what Rove wants.
Frist carries water for BushInc but he doesn't enjoy their appreciation.

Rove will be working for George Allen or Jeb Bush for 2008.

13. The c-span hosts' fingers seem to
constantly gravitate toward the "line for supporters of the President" where a bunch of idiotic morons are lined up with their inane talking points.

Then, when the host finally supposedly gets around to the line for those who "oppose the President" the caller is missing or is an inarticulate loony-tune. The screeners do an excellent job of keeping bright, well-spoken progressives off the show. And, if one happens to sneak through, he or she is cut off after a few seconds so the host can go on to the next dittohead. It's a waste of time.
