Commander Cuckoo Bananas Speaks .........Caution ..... Head Exploder ...
"There is something healthy about people campaigning, saying, this is what I'm for. President ran on a peace platform. You know, maybe somebody will run on a war platform -- you know, vote for me, I promise violence. I don't think they're going to get elected, because I think Palestinian moms want their children to grow up in peace just like American moms want their children to grow up in peace. As a matter of fact, I think the people that campaign for peace will win."
-- Himself excluded, of course... White House, May 26, 2005

from dubyaspeak.com

I really hate that man ...... Does he really believe that crap he spews?
He can not be that dumb. :grr:

I must go and do some work .... hard physical work .......

Does he even know what is coming out of his pie hole?

Honest to God it is time we surround the White House w/ body bags
(1650 of them) Maybe then he will get it.

10. Transfer Tubes, not body bags, remember? Body Bags sounds
too disturbing for the sheeple.

I think that this is a great idea, BTW. The sooner the better!

24. No, he'll never, ever get it
And if by some quirk he did, he'd never admit it. You know he never, ever changes his mind. He's the most stubborn, closed minded person on the face of the earth.

12. My opinion would be he IS that dumb...
...he's just a frontman and surrogate for brainier but no less evil folks who run the freakshow from behind the scenes.

Chimp is the public face who is there to ingratiate himself with a dumbed down electorate who want someone of folksy demeanor and unthreatening intellect. For that part of the electorate, voting is an emotional process rather a rational one, where they choose the cartoon character they find the most endearing rather than a person who is the most competent. People like Cheney and Rove don't have that sort of warm and fuzzy charisma so they get Bush to be their mask, run in the popularity contest, and shelter Bush from unscripted interaction as best they can so that he doesn't get caught saying the sorts of things quoted in the OP.

Bush is simply like what Mickey Mouse is to the Disney Corporation...a logo, an icon, a face. He's there to smile, greet, and fill out the suit. He's not there to think.

18. What an imbecile.
Would someone please keep him from speaking? On second thought, no, don't do that, because he needs more rope to hang himself. As the wife of a soldier heading to Iraq, this comment is a real blow to my husband, his fellow soldiers, and their families. I feel like I've been kicked in the gut! :grr:

20. RANT: The temperature in my head just went up 10 degrees
Whenever that blithering burn-out attempts to speak, I feel the same cringing as when fingernails are scraped down a chalkboard! Aiiieee! I can't stand it! The intense puckering cringing such as when you taste something extremely bitter or sour also comes to mind as a good comparison.

I have now been conditioned (as in Pavlov's experiment)
to yell, "SHUT THE FUCK UP!"
whenever I see *, Cheney, or any one of the Unholy Cabinet members, any of the sanctimonious, sneering Repukes or any of their payola-backed assundry bullshit-spewing talking-heads on television -- even if I'm just flipping channels and the image barely flashes on the screen.

...I should post it (didn't want to transcribe it myself). Fortunately, the folks at www.dubyaspeak.com do a great job with that.

Here's the NPR link, but a word of warning, hearing this out loud will make you brain hurt (I think it's the feeling of you brain cell committing suicide)

If you only have limited time, the quote is just past 3:00 in the clip.

They voted for Blivet mainly, or only, because they thought he'd be better for Israel. I wonder how they feel with the Palestinians having another $50 million in their pockets.

36. Oh yeah, I forgot about that angle, are you a Sharon Government...
...supporter? I do support Israel, but I object to the notion so many Americans have that, in order to support Israel, you have to support Ariel Sharon, and his RW Government, which I oppose.

Is this stupid statement by * going over badly in Israel, right about now? I forgot about that part of the equation.

40. To be honest, I personally don't follow the Israeli politics
that much, so I don't have much of an opinion. I haven't spoken to my parents, so I don't know how they feel about this latest development. All I know is I argued until I was blue in the face with my father about his voting for Bush because of Israel -- as if Kerry would have been bad for them. (And, note that he's always voted Democratic. It's not like he's a Republican at heart.) Adding to the issue is the fact that my brother and sister and their families live in Israel and they were voting for Bush. My brother and sister-in-law were here last week and we got into it a little. My argument was that they don't have to live daily under this damn administration and we do. It doesn't affect their daily lives the way it does ours. They just have no clue how bad it's gotten. They said we've never lived anywhere else and don't understand what it's like to live there. That's true, but I don't really think that Bush is helping them any more than Kerry would have.

Sorry for rambling on and on about this, but it really makes me nuts.
