I have lost some respect for RR
Just at the end of her broadcast she said that it was not a loss. She also said that we need to get together and put dems back into power. Like we fucking can?? Hello!!!! BBV, voter disenfranchisement!!! I am not sure if she is selling us out to corp amerika or what, but it certainly did not sound like the RR I have come to greatly respect the last 6 months..

And, all this form someone who says she truly believes * cabal was dirty into 9/11. She should know that we can't win legitimately, there is no such thing as legitimacy anymore..

1. Rhandi Rhodes probably had forgot....
Of course without media reform, election reform can't reach all the public's eyes.

2. If you listen to her, she talks about getting 75% of all votes cast.
Edited on Tue May-24-05 06:07 PM by kaitykaity
Getting majorities too big to steal, and then every single
voter signing an affadavit after voting attesting to how
they voted.

And then taking that to court if necessary.

So don't lose faith in her. Maybe she just ran out
of time for the full argument.

3. Eh?
How do you know she wasn't talking about doing something about vote fraud in order to get dems back in power? Even if she wasn't, fraud, by itself, isn't a reason to just quit. We all still need to "get together and put Dems back into power."

Don't sell her short.

4. I hope she just ran out of time to completely explain
Edited on Tue May-24-05 06:23 PM by PowerToThePeople
But it certainly did not sound too good on this end of the closing soundbites..

7. Well, I honestly can't say one way or the other
I wasn't listening today. It would be awful strange of her though.

5. Cheating only works around the margins, and the cheaters know it
They still can't game the system totally, and so long as the mood of the country is heading our way, we can prevail.

I am not ready to give up. And I agree with her assessment of the situation. Carping and hand wringing is not helpful, being proactive is.

8. Don't use voter fraud as an all purpose excuse
If every damn refererence to the state of America today has to prefaced with alleged voter fraud, it'll get awfully awkward and awfully paranoid sounding.

Maybe there was funny bizness, maybe not. But it doesn;t matter at this point. The general perception is Bush won amd we're stuck with it. The only way to change that is top argue on those terms and get enough people to shift that the margins do become big enough not to be stealable in the future.

9. Randi is always overawed by her Senator guests

Randi always says that the Senators who come on her show are great, people she likes, etc. and she folows their logic, even if she has taken diametrically opposite views to the very same people on other occasions.

She had three Senators on yesterday, all of whom she gushed over. And because they said the agreement was good, she said the agreement was good!!

This is quite unlike Mike Malloy who calls it exactly as it stands, whoever his guest is - he has his views and he stands by them.

That is the difference between a great Talk Show Host and a climber.

10. I disagree with Rani's take ...
... but I agree with her on so many other things.

She's a great voice. If Air America ran out of money and failed, SHE would be the one who would survive on the most stations. She's sharp tongued, witty snappy, has a nice "city girl" accent.

We'll have to rely on Mike Malloy for this one.

The greatest irony is that if Air America went under, Al Franken (their marquee talent) would be least likely to stay on the air.

Al needs some serious radio lessons. They don't do voices AT ALL. Their bits have TERRIBLE production qualities. They can't even push their audio through telephone filters for fake "phone interviews".

Ya know, I posted something on the blog early on that fake phone calls would be a good bit (like Bob & Tom and so many others do). So Al goes and INTENTIONALLY mocks the idea on air with a lame bit. He's doing them now, but they don't bother putting ANY production quality into them.

Al also needs to LET KATHERINE TALK MORE!!!!! I have an idea that Al is a GREAT conversationalist. Monologues and scripted content gets WAY too boring (which is why Springer on the radio COMPLETELY SUCKS!!!!) when you do it like Al Franken.

No offense Al. I still love ya. But PLEASE ... the STRAIGHT GUY bit from SNL only works when you contrast it against more expressive forms of humor.

My Air America show preference

1) Randi Rhodes
2) Mike Malloy and Majority Report (though I don't like nights when they break up Sam and Janine. The bickering is SO entertaining ;-) )
3) Al Franken
4) Morning Sedition (bring back the English lady or put Rachel Maddow on the crew).
5) Rachel Maddow
6) Laura Flanders
7) Ring of Fire
8) Revolution Starts Now
9) What Else is New
10) Kyle Jason
...
...
...
...
5 BILLION) Springer on the Radio. Springer needs a co-host. They don't have to throw chairs. They just need to offset Springers whining monologues.
