1. I'm not so sure he'll be able to pull it off unscarred
A clear majority of Americans have surprisingly rational attitudes when it comes to stem cell research. It could cause his poll numbers to drop even further.

4. No, he's such a moron he threw away a completely loyal constituency
If he had been any NORMAL president, people would still be worshiping him. But he's such a completele tool, even those that stuck by him this long are starting to wonder. There is absolutely no doubt, he'll go down as one of the all time worst presidents ever.

6. after its passed in the House
Frist will probably drag ass in the Senate so that King Bush will not have to veto such a popular bill, at least not anytime soon.

i don't know frankly. the bottom fell out of the soothsayer business in the year of our lord 1980, when st. ronnie became our heavenly father.

this could be a very unpopular veto if enacted. but if it fails, bush can always say he tried.

9. It's a testament to how much power he has
and how hierarchical the GOP power structure is. 5 years in office and Not One Veto!? He must really be controlling the Congress well if he hasn't had to shoot a bill down yet.

12. Do we have the votes to overturn?
Now that would be a kick in the teeth! Bush's veto gets overridden by Congress. Looking at raw numbers, doesn't look like it, but who knows?
