Proposed Act - The Will of the People

We need to protect the Constitution from Extremists. I have written down things that I believe may save it and America. I think we all want to codify it that America will not become the property of Corporations, Neo-Cons, or the 'christian' Right.

Now, The Will of the People will introduce sweeping changes to the Constitution if it is passed, but it will defend this nation against any onslaught that threatens it's Democracy.

The Will of the People
Purpose - Reaffirms the power of the Constitution, makes sure that the People are the reason for the Government, and prevents any and all tyranny.

Order - Prevents any potential dictatorship and prevents the centralization of power in the Executive Branch

Legislative Interference - Any catastrophic event on American soil will allow the Legislative Branch to appoint two people to the Executive Branch. The Majority Party will nominate one person, and the Minority Party(ies) will nominate one person. Both will get in, the person who receives the most votes will become the Vice-President and the one who receives the least will become the Secretary of State

The Presidential Record - A President will have a record and when a number of negative events happen, he will by law be forced to resign. These events will be recorded in 'marks' and here is my suggested Event-Mark Guide.
A terrorist attack in which at least 1000 people are killed - 3 marks
A terrorist attack in which at least 100 but not more than 1000 people are killed - 2 marks
A declaration of war (even 'just' war) - .5 mark
A war based on a false cause - 2.5 marks
Aiding and abetting criminals, terrorists, or people who have committed crimes against humanity (something to the tune of Iran-Contra) - 2 marks
