A big fat ass whupping for Frist and Bush
Although I am not overjoyed by the Senate deal, it is funny to see Frist and Bush get spanked by not just us but EVEN THIER OWN PEOPLE.

I have always had a love hate thing with McCain. As a former Marine I love the guys service and sacrifice for our country. As a moderate Democrat I like his rebelliousness. But as a hardcore Kerry supporter
I am still angrey that he screwed over Kerry in the election just so he could cement a run in 2008.

Still, he did bend Frist, McConnell and Lott over, which is always fun to watch.

PS. I guess moron boy Chris Matthews was wrong AGAIN about Frist being the "Hero" of the Senate debate. When is Matthews going to learn to keep his fat mouth shut.

1. Chris Matthews is slowly spinning into the toilet of mindless rhetoric.
I hope he acknowledges his idiotic statement and replaces "hero" with "ZERO".

2. Frist Is Incompetent
Frist shouldn't be Majority Leader. He just stepped into the job as the Available Guy when Trent Lott got nostalgic about the Good Old Days of segregation.

Frist broke the cardinal rule of leadership, which is to navigate toward greater options, not fewer. Turning the Senate into a majority-rule legislature like the House of Representatives did not work to anyone's advantage. In the end, fence sitters like John Warner couldn't bring themselves to support changing the rules for the sake of a few nutso judges.

Frist will soon be gone. Don't let the door hit you in the ass, jerk!

4. What planet are you on?
Bush will get all of his extremist judges appointed FOR LIFE. How exactly did he get his ass whupped?

Maybe I'm in an alternate universe or something, but I thought the Democrats considered all those judges too extreme and unfit to serve? Now they all get appointed without a fight.

Your "logic":
Bush wanted them appointed, they will be appointed
Democrats didn't want them appointed, they will be appointed.
Therefore, Bush got his ass whupped!

5. Ass whupping for Frist and Bush? Damn pass me some of those drugs
So I can join in on this mindless, meaningless victory celebration.

Sorry, but from where I stand, it doens't look like an ass whupping at all. It looks like the Dems caved again, and while the 'Pugs only get three of their rabidly RW judicial nominees, it is three more than they would have gotten, and the Senate Dems were neutered in the process.

What is going to keep Frist from pulling out the nuke option for the other four. After all, the three most rabidly RW nominees are going to be confirmed. If those three don't measure up to "extraordinary" nominees, who else will? C'mon, think about it. These seven 'Pugs will simply claim that they don't pass the "extraordinary" test, Frist will pull the nuke option, and all the 'Pugs will vote for it in good conscience, saying that hey, we did everything we could:eyes:

These damn turncoat "moderate" Dems should have stood firm, and forced the fight now, especially when they had the obvious moral high ground, and public support behind them. Now if they object to the nuke option, or if they filibuster, they will be painted as extremem and obstructionist, and the sheeple people will lap it up and call it yummy.

Sorry, but the only ass that got whupped here was the Dem's. Oh, and all of the rest of us, since we're going to have to live with the consequences of this so called compromise.
