Despite the voting machines--I think this move just gave us another
Republican President.
John McCain.
My mom, who is a Dem, said if he runs he will get her vote next time.
GRRRRRRRRRRRR.

1. Relax...
I think that kind of reaction (which is also my neighbors btw) is just because there isn't a Dem to compare him with......

It will change....I'm sure of it.

3. Unless he runs as an independent
McCain won't be on the ballot. He won't win a Repub primary.

4. McCain's toast
The fundies hate him and they won't forget this unless he sells his soul to them later on a SCOTUS nomination or something. Good luck getting busloads of moderates and crossover Democrats to organize and knock on doors for him during the Republican primaries.

5. there is so much trash on him, might want to suggest to mom
to hold off on that vote and do a little research first. surely your mom being older understands the importance of being well informed. and the fundies wont let him. they took him down in 2000.
