Cornyn (Cornhole) and Repubs still talking division this morning.
Rather than accept the new "bi-partisan" spirit, he and others are still talking the "nuclear option" and are skeptical of the agreement that 14 Senators came to in secret. Watch to see if this is a pattern with the Repubs....

1. As long as
the 14 hold together, they'll never pass the nuclear option.......

pray that they hold together.......

In a sense it would be better if Frist and Cronyn and the rest of the radicals tried to break the deal early on WITHOUT any provacation from the Dems....the earlier it happens the less likely it will be that the repubs will defect.......

2. They would be foolish to try it at this time...
they do not have a simple majority. Democrats need to nourish this new group, in my opinion.

3. and just how will they break the deal without a Dem fillibuster?
All they have to do is replace the kooky judges with more kooky judges. They aren't breaking the deal and the Dems must fillibuster. Dems are the provocators and repukes are not.

4. the 14 will hold together, and there won't be any filibusters either
bottom line: SOLD OUT

The DLC folks compromised to keep the option of a filibuster they've effectively promised never to use.

Byrd is not DLC...but he's so enamored of the lost concept of civility and collegiality within the senate, that he was a sucker for any deal that averted a shutdown.

On paper, and nowhere else, minority rights in judicial appointments still exist.

Angry Johnny can run against Washington DC again even though his peeps control almost everything there now.

8. Have you considered the possibility that this could become
a pattern for the democrats as well? Take a look around.
