Nukes Were A Non-Starter From The Get Go! Their Own Hubris Beat Them!

It is a beautiful thing to see Bill Frist stewing in his own juices this morning. He finally took that one step TOO FAR.

Let's remember something tho. While I see this as a major defeat for the Repugs, it was of their doing. The dems had little influence on the outcome of this. It was the moderate Repugs show.

I have been saying for months (to a chorus of flames) that this thing was a non-starter. That they could never pull it off. That the republicans didn't want this to happen nearly as much as the Dems.

We were being bullied the way we have bullied since 9-11. Nothing more and nothing less. You have to stand up to fucking bullies or they keep taking your lunch money!

So, while you rightfully revel in the egg that is dripping down Bill Frist's face this morning. Don't be deluded into thinking that as a party we somehow deserve to get credit.

I have become convinced of one thing. In this day and age, it will take the regpugs stepping over the line and getting beaten from within in order for this long nightmare to be over.

I do have hope however, that this will embolden the Democrats who for far too many years have been the doormats of these power hungry freaks!

Stop giving these bullies your damn lunch money!!!

Let them try it. I was hoping that was what his Quorum Call last night was all about. Let him bring it!!!

3. This "compromise" is a win/win for the Republicans.

Three extremist nominees will go to the bench, Bush will continue to push his Nazi nominees and the Democrats will either not use the filibuster or Frist/Chaney will kill it. And now when it happens it will be considered "old news" by the Rove Media and given very little press. Democrats won nothing in this "compromise". Frist is a cypher, always has been, always will be. If he gets dumped because of this, another theobot, just as slimy, will step up...
