3. I talked to my friend who taught there a few years ago

He saw some of the coverage and recognized one or two of the faculty members. I'd say he was a bit surprised, but highly gratified by the numbers of Calvin folks who stood up against Bush's warmongering and elitist ways.

Calvin College is a very conservative college, but warmaking and abuse of the vulnerable really offends a lot of their sensibilities. Good for the folks at Calvin, and their stickers that God is not a Democrat or a Republican!

4. I'm a Calvin alum

and I'm glad that the students and faculty stood up. We hear so many negative things about evangelicals on the board. It's nice to know that some of them are standing up against this maladministration.
