Frist NEVER, EVER . . . EVER had a chance to become president or the presidential nominee. The "deal" was made under the republican, DINO, bipartisan blanket.

My take - The president had a 95% approval of his nominees to courts, didn't like it, needed 98% to to solidify his extremist takeover... So, orchestrate a false constitutional crisis with a deadbolt like Frist, use the cloak of false moderates to lure the DINOS, fabricate a "bipartisan DEAL", have your play maker McCain sell it as compromise, and get you way.

FRIST never had a chance an was merely a pawn in the RW regime scheme.
