UnF-ingbelievable Editorial cartoon in the Chi. Sun-Times!!!!
I can't link to it, so you'll have to trust me. Jack Higgins may be syndicated, so look for it in your Sunday paper:

1st panel:
A dead soldier, dripping blood, with the words "Drip, drip, drip" 5 times.
2nd panel:
Laura & George in bed:
"George! How can you sleep with all that noise?!"
"Just pretend it's oil and go back to sleep."

Especially impressive since the Sun-Times is owned by right-wing Hollinger out of Canada!

2. Bless you, sgr2!
I even did a search at the Sun-Times but couldn't find it. Maybe I screwed up, but you came to the rescue.

Higgins is the LAST one to rip a repuke! I see this as good news...

8. Conrad Black, CEO Hollinger International, owns the Chicago Tribune
Conrad Black, CEO Hollinger International, owns the Chicago Tribune, not the Chicago Sun Times.

Anyhoo, Black is in dire financial straits and he may be forced to sell some of his holdings, including the Chicago Tribune and the Jerusalem Post.

10. No, you're wrong....
Hollinger owns the Sun-Times, bought it from Rupert Murdoch. The Tribune is owned by Tribune Holdings, owners of WGN (tv and radio), and the Chicago Cubs.

16. No, it is the Sun-Times
Here's a list of holdings
http://www.suntimes.com/geninfo/hollinger.html

The Chicago Sun-Times is part of Hollinger International Inc., whose online newspapers and holdings include:

The Jerusalem Post
Jerusalem, Israel

Both Richard Perle and Henry Kissinger serve on the board.

17. If we're counting words today -
There are 23 words in that cartoon and some lines and shading - it doesn't take much to pack a punch. Congratulations to the people of American for waking up and using their brains and hearts instead of being robot head nodders!

19. Obviously not an editorial product of the Sun-Times
Which has consistently run the most egregriously bloodthirsty banner headlines I've seen (e.g., "WE GOT 'EM ON THE RUN!") through the debacles in both Afghanistan and Iraq.

20. You're right.
This takes some pretty big cajones on Higgin's part. He is going against Sir Conrad Black's agenda with this cartoon. I'm hoping he's too popular and entrenched to be shown the door...

21. You can...
.::click here::. Then scroll down and click on Higgins' name (on the left side of the page). I think that's the most direct route to it.

It's raw... absolutely raw! Thanks for the heads up.
