A lesson learned in school...
I think that this is something that we can all relate to...

Do you remember as a child when you were told to "be the better person," "be the bigger person," when it came to a difficult situation? Maybe it was with an enemy/bully or as a player on a sports team that didn't do so well? Look, we can argue about the Democrats winning, losing, coming out even, whatever your opinion is. And everyone is entitled to their own opinion on what happened, on how Harry Reid handled it, etc. Now, I'm not saying "turn the other cheek" here, not at all. And, in my opinion, that's not what Harry Reid or Robert Byrd or the other Democrats did (including Lieberman, I know he's not real popular here). Harry Reid tried to compromise with Frist the freeper, much to no avail-talks broke off last week. Reid wanted to "compromise," Frist wanted "all or nothing," and I'm sure he still does. But compromise is the key here-Reid showed that he was better than the extremist right-wing asshole. Look, so many of these fundies sleep with their Bible-isn't that what the Bible tells them to do? Share? Compromise? Or is that just what they think everyone else should do, not them (freepers are the chosen people, and have carte blanche over the earth)? All of this "Democrats need to get God" crap really pisses me off, and there has to be some way to get through to these Bible thumpers that WE HAVE GOD, and their "false prophets" are full of shit. At least this is a start. I don't think the Democrats lost anything, nor gained anything. But the Repukes LOST something, not gained anything at all, no matter what people think. These three nominees get a vote-that doesn't mean that they get voted in. The other two get nothing. Remember, Frist wanted them ALL to get a vote. This is not happening, therefore, the "bully" did not get his way (you could say "bullies" since that's all BushCo is-a bunch of really bad stupid children). Nothing is perfect here-but it is a start to show who the "bad kids" really are. If it was let go until tomorrow for the big showdown, do you think that would have improved people's opinion of the Democrats? No. That would have gave Rove and the rest of freeperdom more fuel for their propaganga machine. Feel good...there are SEVEN Repukes that Frist probably would murder right now if he could. Not Democrats...REPUKES. His own party. Meaning that, believe it or not, Repukes have an opinion that differs from his, God forbid. Just think about this...

1. At least there are 2 judges that won't be part of the RW takeover of gov't
They stole the presidency and took the Congress through the treachery of warmongering. This is an incremental battle to stop them from consuming the judiciary.
