3. He's getting up in years
and I don't know if he would want it, but could you imagine him as Secretary of State in the next (Democratic) administration?

8. He ACTUALLY MADE A "Roadmap for peace" THAT WORKED!
His efforts with Begin and Sadat succeeded in a peace that holds to this day....He didn't need phony slogans like Bush....He just used his wisdom and powers of persuasion....God bless him!!

6. Jimmy
I agree. Jimmy Carter was torpedoed from every direction. His life since the presidency has shown his character to be far above that of all the presidents since — combined. I'd be most honored to be called his friend.

9. President Carter is very much under rated
He is a great man with high character and morals. He was an excellent President and exPresident. What are the ex Republican Presidents, which are still living, doing to help others since leaving office?
I quess we can see which people, in which polical party has the compassion to really help others.
RE-ELECT A DEMOCRAT FOR PRESIDENT IN 2004!!!!

10. His goodness shines in his face!!
Think of his good, kind, open face and then think of the smirking, suspicious-eyed face of Bush...What a contrast!

12. Yes, I was watching him give a talk after winning the Peace Prize
he and Roslyn were sitting in chairs on the stage answering questions and they were so lovely and inteligent.
Then I got in the car to drive to class and some radio guy was bitching about the blue laws in Pa.... as if this was a big issue or something that mattered. I went from the sublime to the ridiculous, it was depressing!

11. es to all the posts except one about
the dictators , carter was a great man who cared about this country , when you look at what is involve to be a presadent , who would really want the job , not me , to many factors to deal with , some run for greed and what the country can do for them and then we have the good one's who do the job and do for the country , carter is a man who wondered what he could do for his country
