Nuke Was A Dud: It Is Now Time To Hammer Frist Until He Drops!
Edited on Mon May-23-05 09:00 PM by DistressedAmerican
Regardless of your opinion of the compromise. Frist is weak. Now is our chance! RIGHT NOW.

Kick the pig while he is down.

Hammer them with the message that they lost because their leaders are arrogant and power hungry pigs!

His Nuke Was A Dud!!!

2. Time to hammer Bolton
We can not let up the pressure. Frist lost and is weak. I would not be surprise to see him step down.

6. This is gonna piss the TheoCons off in a big way--this is why
they voted the wack Rs in in the first place.

We lost some ground, indeed, but we still can keep our eyes on the prize--kicking the SCOTUS nominees to the curb, or better yet, forcing W to nominate more moderate candidates.

4. I agree
Frist needs to be taken to task for this. Not sure I like this deal either.

5. A question for the hell of it:
With Brownback going for the White House in 08, would Frist have stood a chance with Dobson's idiot fundies anyway?

Or what do you think was up with that?

It seems like the far-right fundies would be salivating at the prospect of Brownback as their nominee. Frist, despite being WAY too conservative for us, was maybe still too liberal for them?

Penny for your thoughts.

7. As was supposed to be. Frist has been had. Now, does he

12. start calling CSPAN and radio hosts with the sort of thing they do
"I'm a long time Republican, and I feel betrayed by the Senate Leadership, and especially Bill Frist - who failed us in the most important battle in his life... I hope he's listening, because he does NOT have the evangelical vote if he wants to run for President... i'm just going to stay home and pray for a REAL Republican to take away the fillibuster and allow an up or down vote for blah de blah blah blah..."

15. I don't think he ever really wanted to use the nuclear option.
It was used as a threat to hang over the heads of Democrats. The Republicans got what they wanted; most of their judicial nominations will go through, and they don't have to worry about the Dems going nuclear when they're in the majority.
