Could someone spell it out to me?

1. Here's the deal
The Democrats once again caved.

Three of the five ratwingnutcase judicial nominees get to go straight to a Senate vote, the Democrats having given up their right to filibuster those three nominations.

Two other nominees were ditched. Big deal. They'll be back.

The language says that there will be no filibuster except for "extraordinary circumstances," and such circumstances are not defined, so that means nothing changed except that the Democrats let three fucks get to have their Senate vote - and probable confirmation.

We got screwed. That's what happened.

... sums up my belief at the present time.

I'll be listening to see what it is I have missed. As it is, it looks to me like we got "nothing" and they got "5".

Any deal that is not binding through some period of time is just useless IMHO.

en edit: however, if even half of these upordownvotes go against the nominee, my attitude will improve considerably! :)

4. I was a bit confused, too. Please correct me (politely, please) where
I"m wrong, but basically, we gave them a few of their way. Now, we says we won't fillabuster unless under extreme cases (extreme not being defined) and they say that the nuclear option is still availalble if we act ina way they feel is "political."

Please help me understand where I'm wrong, if I am.
Thanks in advance!
