Idea -- A feud between urban and rural Democrats?
If we orchestrated a "peaceful war" between urban and rural Democrats, it might make the country aware that rural Democrats do exist, and at the same time help both sides learn more about their issues.

It would take a bite of of the Red/Blue state myth, and in ultimately bring more attention to Democratic causes.

I think the first step would be for rural Democrats to be much more aggressive and vocal.

Any thoughts?

1. Big Tent! How are you going to win if you don't keep your big D
tent?

Why when the Republican strategy is to tribalize the country..so elites can win elections (it is how elites always rule when they have power)would we copy that?

I don't understand?

2. Just brainstorming
Maybe not the best idea... maybe it would be better to avoid the turmoil.

4. We gotta stick together. Even with Dem senators who seem to have
lost their way. We need to get control (or you need to - I'm Canadian) in 2006!

3. How about this instead:
a feud between urban and rural Republicans?

5. Better still than that, and already happening--
a feud between TheoCons, NeoCons, and traditional conservatives in the Republican Party.

I mean, if Lott and Frist are at each other's throats, and they are, it can't be too long until they start feasting on each other.

6. Nahhh please no.
I am a rural Democrat in a red county of a very red state and it is hard enough.

I understand what you are saying but we need to be together and in this kind of party even that is hard.

BTW, we are screaming out here and nobody hears us now so I think being more aggressive and vocal might just pop a few aneurysms.

Just my opinion.
