Tomorrows Liberal Radio Row at Capitol Cancelled by obscure rule
Edited on Mon May-23-05 11:33 AM by RamboLiberal
Lynn Cullen - liberal host 1360 WPTT AM Pittsburgh was going to do her show live tomorrow - was going to be on CSPan as well. She's talking about it now - DU has link to her show. Some Repug weenie found some obscure rule that disallows broadcasts from the Capitol.

She and her station manager are discussing this now at 12:25PM. Lynn's station manager only found out late this morning.

Repukes were going to let this go on and then nail Harry Reid with an ethics violation.

1. Don't the radical right hosts do this a couple of times a year?
They might be shooting themselves in the foot. Again.

2. According to Lynn's station Manager the RW pundits were
supposed to do this as well tomorrow. Some senators were objecting - probably to the Libs. Lynn thinks it's a repuke conspiracy.

The Repukes have 1-2 of these a year from the WH. Her conservative colleague Jerry Bowyer gets invited all the time.

for road rage everywhere!!!(when listening to talk radio) there is NO LIBERAL radio here in Pittsburgh!! Only Hannity and Limbaugh *shudder* which leads me to desire raming my saturn into the nearest SUV

All there is conservative radio, for my own sanity and the rest of us liberals in PA how do we fix this!

6. Gotta convince one of the Clear Channels I guess
that there is a market. I too want to get some national liberal radio here. Would love to get AAR, but I think even getting Ed Schultz would be great.

We do have Lynn on WPTT. And WPTT does have Thom Hartmann 8-10PM weeknights though the signal is so degraded at night it's almost impossible to get. Heck WPTT is only 5000 watts so you can hardly get in many Pittsburgh areas during the day.

And on KDKA when not preempted by baseball or infomercials there is Chris Moore on the weekends and Mike Romigh at night.

And we have a great liberal talent here - John McIntyre who is unemployed!!!!!!!!
