Newsweek in full Propoganda mode - Osama
Osama bin Laden is no longer the active leader of Al Qaeda - he's just a legendary figure now, and no one's really hunting for him anymore; he doesn't matter.

That in effect, is what I heard on MSNBC this morning in a conversation between vacuous reporter and Newsweek editor. They were pondering Osama's effectiveness and whether Pakistan would ever turn him over (they won't without BIG gifts from us). Turns out it doesn't really matter though, because Osama is so far up in the mountains in hiding he can't do shit. So no reason to bother searching and hunting him down.

Thank you Newsweek!

1. They really felt the leash jerk last week
I think we all know that KKKarl controls everything that's written or aired in the US now. They strayed twoard the end of the teter with that TRUTH about the Koran, and KKKarl jerked then back in, hard.

8. Well, according to Newsweek he's NOT free to go
they were spinning it as a victory - as if Osama has been imprisoned in the mountains from fear of us catching him and if he tries to leave we'll get him. No point in searching for him when we know where he is and he can't leave, right? :banghead:

3. So, if I murder someone and avoid the law for a year and do not
murder anyone else, I won't be arrested and tried for the crime I commited?

Let me get this straight, America is not interested in getting the ONE person responsible for the cold blooded murder of thousands of innocent people on 9-11 because he has proven too hard to find?

5. Bush/Cheney/Rice didn't think he could hit the US from Afghanistan,
either. Like Pakistan is somehow WAY more remote. You'd think they took the majority of Americans for fools, the way they insult our intelligence.

Oh, right. Never mind.

6. Osama is irrelevant now it is Iran who bombed the WTC
Iran would have if they had thought of it first so we must stop them before they can think up something much much worse. We MUST stop Iran from Destroying our civilization. They are ready and able so we must act NOW. Don't worry about Osama it wasn't really him that did the crime in the first place, it was Iran.. Remember Iran wants to attack Amerika and turn us all into Muslims. We must defend Amerika NOW. An attack is IMMINENT. Mushroom Clouds and poisonous gas and biological nightmares. Only Bush* can save Amerika. He is the only one Smart enough to save us in our time of Crisis. Bush* is our Savior and we must kill Iranians before they come into your home and drag your babies out into the street and eat them.. Bush* will save us. Bomb Iran NOW.

9. Maybe we can get an official government statement on that?
And a little soundbite with some President talking tough about bringing a certain terrorist in "dead or alive".

13. I have been supportive of Newsweek thus far
because I hate unfair scapegoating and the way this administration tries to run over it's "enemies".

But the boot-licking they were doing on Imus made me turn off the t.v. in frustration - no small thing for me while trying to get through my treadmill time. I need the distraction but couldn't even LISTEN.

My anger, however, prompted a longer and more strenuous workout on my part - so some good did come of it.

15. Goldstein lives, be very afraid!
Osama took a dialysis machine and a spare with him to his bat cave. There's one terrorist that thinks of everything.

Pakistan's Musharraf: Bin Laden probably dead

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan (CNN) -- Pakistan's president says he thinks Osama bin Laden is most likely dead because the suspected terrorist has been unable to get treatment for his kidney disease.

"I think now, frankly, he is dead for the reason he is a ... kidney patient," Gen. Pervez Musharraf said on Friday in an interview with CNN.

Musharraf said Pakistan knew bin Laden took two dialysis machines into Afghanistan. "One was specifically for his own personal use," he said.

"I don't know if he has been getting all that treatment in Afghanistan now. And the photographs that have been shown of him on television show him extremely weak. ... I would give the first priority that he is dead and the second priority that he is alive somewhere in Afghanistan."

(CNN Story)

Dr. Sanjay Gupta: Bin Laden would need help if on dialysis

Renal dialysis -- talking about hemodialysis -- is something that really is reserved for patients in end-stage renal failure. That means their kidneys have just completely shut down.

The most common cause of something like that would be something like diabetes and hypertension. Once that's happened, if you're separated from your dialysis machine -- and incidentally, dialysis machines require electricity, they're going to require clean water, they're going to require a sterile setting -- infection is a huge risk with that. If you don't have all those things and a functioning dialysis machine, it's unlikely that you'd survive beyond several days or a week at the most. (CNN Story)
