so the liberal media is denouncing Star Wars 3 as being anti-* propaganda.
Points to ponder:

1. Why isn't the media ASKING why people are coming to that conclusion, instead of summarily saying it is, wanting us to blindly believe what they say?

2. If the movie is a parallel to real life, does this mean Jenna and Barbara (twins, ya' know) will eventually grow up, tongue each other once without realizing their blood lines, and then help overthrow their father? :hide:

3. Dan Quayle must be Jar Jar Binks. Or is it John Kerry, I have no idea. :hide:

4. Yoda is a parallel for the ones of us who feel we have to go move to a desolated swamp and hide for all eternity. :hide:

I only know 2 things for sure:

1. The media is anything but liberal; the fact it spreads only one major point of view is bad enough. Not compelling people to ask questions only makes things worse.

2. Real life is stranger than fiction.

3. * had hit a ~40% approval rating months before election 2004.
I have no idea how it could go back up (unless the people are true fuckhead dolts or have a collective death wish or realy want to enlist) but it's back to where it should have been by late October.

You forgot to mention that Rove, or Cheney, is Jabba the Hutt.

5. Bush? It's a silly stretch.
You know the bastard doesn't think of himself as the Dark Side.

He's doing God's work y'know.

And that stupid grin isn't very Darth-like.

6. I liked it better when we were allowed to find allegory ourselves
Personally, I think the current geo-political climate is better portrayed in the novel "Dune."

9. But since we're not allowed to think for ourselves, they have to do it.

13. I don't think that it was written that way for Bush
I just saw the movie this morning. I think that the movie made perfect sense in the context of the other movies. Before the movie came out, we knew that the movie had to explain the transformation of the Republic to the Empire. It was part of the Star Wars mythology. Any connection between the movie and actual events in American politics is purely coincidental. Bush has nothing to be paranoid about either unless he was planning on making himself Emporer. Or is that the problem?

15. Of course not. It was made for all TYRANTS...
bush just happens to fit the generic stereotype, unfortunately for us and the world, especially OIL producing regions.

14. They accuse themselves when they make the comparison
when right wingers call the movie anti-Bush, they accuse themselves of being the dark side...they accuse themselves of being fascists....they accuse themselves of being the true enemies of the republic ...and I think that's just beautiful.

It's only being called anti-Bush because people KNOW exactly what America has become.
