What would you call 3 days of shows including (in no particular order) Chris Smither, Tom Rush, Lori McKenna, Dar Williams, David Grissman, Richard Thompson, Ellis Paul, Tom Rush, Catie Curtis, Lori McKenna, Al Kooper, Allison Krauss & Jerry Douglas, Geoff Muldaur, Ollabelle, John Koerner, Chris Williams, Jim Kweskin, and many more....

I call it Club Passim's 47th anniversary.

Here's to you, Bob Jones & Jamie Barth & Betsy Siggins, may you stay forever young!

1. All those people played?
I think that's the place I saw David Bromberg play for the 1st time, back in the early 70s. Those were the days, my friend.

BTW, I've been rediscovering Jim Kweskin.....I'm desperately looking for his version of "Buddy Bolden's Blues".

2. Wish I had known
Could have asked him for you. Check out Club Passim's website, they have some downloads and merchandise, perhaps you can find a copy there.

While on your tangent, look into "Spider" John Koerner.

p.s. Did you know Bromberg is now the owner of a fiddle manufacturing company in Wilmingon, Delaware?

I did know that about Bromberg. He's quite the international expert in appraising violins and fiddles.

I had the great fortune of seeing Bromberg in '95 on his 50th Birthday Tour with his original Band. They hadn't played together for almost 20 years, but they didn't miss a beat that night. The show was in Portland, Maine. I had the further good fortune of meeting the band members after the concert at the "Top of the East", a bar across the from the State Theater where they played. One of those memorable nights that you never forget.

My daughter plays fiddle and accoustic guitar in her HS bluegrass band. They started about 5 years ago when her middle school teacher/mentor put it together. Chris is also a professional musician, playing in a band called Evergreen (up here in Central Maine)....here's a lnk to his site, with pics of them playing with Ramblin' Jack Elliott-
