3. He owes us the rest of his life in prison
His family and cronies owe us all the money they've looted from us.

He owes us an appearance before the Hague, charged with crimes against humanity.

He owes us silence for his crimes against the English language.

7. Mega-understatement of the Century
Folks its called WAR CRIMES.

Trying this man for the War Crimes is the only thing that will ever get the US back into the community of civilized nations, and only after a full accounting and recompense and justice for the crimes that caused the killing so many tens of thousands of dead and destruction of an entire country.

Of course, he's dead, but that doesn't detract from recognizing a wrong a president has done or continues to do.

19. The "all-politicians-are-bad" frame is false and it works against us
because it encourages the media culture of false equivalency. Just mho.

32. Sorry, but if I dealt in absolutes, I would've said "all," not "most"
I purposely chose that word because it could mean anything from 51% upwards to 99%. Given that it would take me a great while to research every US president for every instance of corruption or injustice, I settled on that word, but even if I did quantify my response, there would still be disagreement over the details because some of it is quite subjective. I hope I am demonstrating to you that I am not dealing in black/white absolutes but shades of gray. However, if you've read enough, you'd realize we have had our fair share of pitiful excuses for leaders, but that's an issue of the structure of power in this country, which is another topic entirely.

18. What should be the penalty for what he and the neoCONfascist have done?
They should each and everyone be squarely seated on death row in Texas.

Sow what they reap.

Of course, I'd advocate that they be subjected to living on the edge of death everyday as lawyers fight against the imposition of death on their lives.

Still, they deserve the penalty of having that life/death experience.

28. after his impeachment and criminal trials are over and he is convicted...
he can apologize after all that, that will help some...but the justice he meets will necessarily have to be harsh in order to save any shred of our honor and rep in the world.

even impeaching bush and convicting him for treason, crimes against humanity etc...will only partially undo the damage.

33. No apology will do! Bush is nothing more than a common war criminal
who deserves punishment at the hands of an international war crimes court.

Asking whether Bush owes America an apology is like asking Hitler to apologize for the Holocaust, or Emperor Hirohito to apologize for Japan's crimes.

Bush can apologize after he is convicted of war crimes, during the victims's impact statement phase of his trial.

35. APOLOGY NOT ACCEPTED!!!!!!!
The jackass in prison for ALL his crimes, might, might...just might
make amends. No, I take it back, NOTHING could undo the kind of damage he has done to America's good name, countless lives, the economy, decency! To say that he made a mess is just an understatement! Kerry would have had to do triple time to just try to undo SOME of the damage! APOLOGY REJECTED!

38. Well it would be a start but
We all know it will never happen. George NEVER admits he ever ever makes a mistake - he utterly refused to admit such during the presidential debates.

And worse - it isn't good enough. The gravity of his foreign policy worldwide is so obscene, so rife with error that resignation, impeachment and trial for crimes against humanity will be the only thing that will satisfy.

A soldier recently admitted he made a mistake when he murdered a muslim in Afghanistan. He committed murder - admitted such, KNEW it was wrong....he was given three months prison time. Let us put this into perspective - Martha Stewart was charged with insider trading and was given two years (?) prison. Did her actions directly cause the death of someone? Or how about those nuns that broke into a nuclear silo and were banging on the exterior with a hammer in protest.....how long did she have to serve in prison time? I guarentee you it was allot longer than three months.
