Will Bush apologize for flushing the Koran?
This story will not go away. More than 100 years ago historians still deny that Enfield Cartridges were coated in Pork Lard which spurred the Sepoy Rebellion over similar religious reactions. The Sepoy Rebellion united both Muslims and Hindu's a real stretch. Today the Koran reports appear to be uniting Sunni's and Shiites who often view each other as enemies.

My guess is Bush is going to personally apologize soon, whether he denies it or not remains to be seen. When I saw this article that Shiites have taken up the call it appears to me this crisis is growing.

7. I have a strange feeling about this.
After all he has pulled, fraud, lies, deceptions, plots, wars, destruction of American Republic, this may be his poison pill.

10. This incident is uniting factions that were enemies Sunnis and Shiites
Smirk may be in a corner he cannot escape without an apology. Wonder if that is what tonights speech addresses. Muslim are really upset by this incident and are using it as a rallying issue.

13. This remark was very apologetic

"I don't think a photo inspires murders. I think they (insurgents) are inspired by an ideology that is so barbaric and backwards that it's hard for many in the western world to comprehend how they think," Bush told reproters at the White House when asked about the impact of the photos on the Iraqi insurgency.

That's Shrubya referring to the picture of Saddam in his tiny-whities today......that's going to make a lot of friends in the Muslim world :sarcasm:

14. Diplomacy is not in his vocabulary.
What I have seen so far looking at foreign press reports there is a fire storm brewing. Only problem is we may live in the bulls eye. The British Empire among the most arrogant of all had to learn their lesson the hard way. This hasn't played out yet.

4. Exactly! It's NEVER his fault!
It's like a five year old who always blames his siblings or the dog or the imaginary friend. The man lacks maturity and is not capable of taking responsibility for anything. :eyes:

12. heck, my 2 year old accepts responsibility (sometimes)
Granted, spilling water or throwing your food on the floor isn't quite the same as torturing detainees and flushing holy books down the toilet...

9. Where can I get one of
these toliets? If I have to use a paper towel instead of teepee, my comode backs up. A toliet that can handle a nice big Koran is one heck of a toliet.
