When he was talking to the senators, I realized that, because he did not have any illusions about the virtues of his inquisitors or the evil nature of the Arabs/Muslims, he could tell the truth easily, something, the senators,in their illusions, would never be able to match.
Time and again, the facilitators of our own evil deeds come up with this masquerade of how our intent is always good and even if we fall short,we are infinitely better than the evil dictators of these benighted countries. That excuse was in full display as the Democrat, Carl Levin, outdid the Chairman,Norm Coleman,in trying to discredit the truth teller, that they let in by mistake into the chamber only to discover he did not intend to go meekly into that dark night.
George Galloway's impressive command of our language, his demeanor, not at all subservient to the birdbrains that were questioning him, and his command of facts, made these weasels squirm in their seats. As they beat a hasty retreat, Galloway demonstrated what it is like to hear the truth. The lack of obfuscation, clear straight talk were exactly what Orwell had said about how totalitarianism results in the corruption of our language.
I would love to see Galloway on our TV every week speaking about all current events. That would be a refreshing departure from the mindnumbing drivel dished out either by egotripping male anchors or empty kewpie dolls.
