I've seen a few downer freaks in my time, as they progress through their addiction. The next step after the one that he is currently in, ie taking large quantities of pills, is to start hitting the needle. After that, matters progress quickly, with an ever increasing amount of drugs being shot up, usually in veins that are closer and closer to the heart. Pretty soon there is a slip, to much inserted in the wrong vein, and the person falls into that sleep from which they never wake.

I honestly hope that Rush has beaten his monkey, nobody should be saddled with that. But I also honestly don't think that he has. I was recently listening to him(know thy enemy etc.) and he was mentioning that he was having hearing problems again. That combined with his weight gain here lately, and my bet it that he is back on the Oxy, if he ever really got off.

But quite frankly I wish he would pay for his crimes that he has committed. His appeals about his medical records have been ruled against him, so he should be going to court anytime now. Make the man pay for his crime and his hypocrisy.
