once they are done with a thing or a person or a lie, they toss them out like a used condom.

or will they continue to prop him up, and keep the money rolling in?

12. Another tin foil hat view
You put the grenade story, together with the story of Bob Woodward talking about a presidential run for Chenney, and it's a thing that makes you go hmmm..... I don't buy Bush as a martyr though--he's already shown numerous times that his own ass comes first. Of course, if he could become a RELIGIOUS martyr, that might change the whole ballgame (you know, instant ticket to heaven and all that).

3. Well
I don't think your charactarization of how they treat their own is entirely accurate. That said, who else si there? They dump Bush, they get Cheney - probably a step up from some of their points of view, but in the long run it gives them the same problems they have now.

I guess the benefit would be that they could pick a Vice President and give him a heir to the throne sort of set up.

6. I wonder.
Seems to me if they (Corporate America) want to maintain the illusion of Democracy they will find an acceptable Democrat DINO. I'm not convinced we have any say in the matter.

Before Bush is gone there will be a lot of profit taking (prop him up), what is the loss of popularity for a lame duck pResident but an annoyance.

8. If * suddenly left the scene...
and Cheney was in charge...Cheney could run for another term...right? He could finish Shrub's current term, then run for his own four year term in '08.

I think KKKarl would be open to that contingency...

9. Bush has always been expendable, but
he's easy. They'll keep him until he fucks up so badly even the neocon spin can't save him. And, as I have said before, Cheney will resign and a VP will be appointed. Cheney will still pull the puppet strings, it doesn't matter whether he has the VP title or not. With his health, he could never last as prez. Better to continue to manipulate behind the scenes.

13. Remember: his Skull and Bones name is "temporary"
Scary, huh?

Far too many of us have discussed this before, but were the right to engineer his removal and pin it on the left, it would almost guarantee a complete fascist takeover. How much of a liability is he? It's all too hard to say. Perhaps now that he's a lame duck, he's just taking point to do things that politicians who need to look toward their futures can't or won't do. Even so, if it backfires, he could be cleaned for the betterment of the monarchists.

Put nothing past these people. They are beyond ruthless.
