Capitalism-democracy imploding: corporate bail outs, airline bail outs,
farm subsidies, mega-mergers, tort reform to protect corporations, Patriot Act, WH controlling and threatening the media, censureship, rich getting richer and poor getting poorer, unions in the toilet, and on and on. It's just socialism for corporate mega whores in disguise. Why would we want to spread this form of government and economy around the world?

1. In Disguise? Welcome To Corporate Welfare
All you stated above have been around for years, just we have a regime now that puts their "welfare" ahead of all else. If you can write a big check, you get all the government you want. If you can't, you're screwed. As they say "The business of America is business".

For decades the government has paid farmers not to grow food but tobbacco instead, to protect the airlines (look at the 9/11 bailout and more to come), the banks (remember S&L fiasco?) and any major industry that has high paid lobbyists and pay the political pipers. In return, they get to outsource all they want, or lucrative no-bid contracts or special tax breaks, tarriff protection or a combination of all the above. Nothing new here, just more blatant.

The powerful stay that way since they know how to get their way...and to find a way into the public teat. The endgame is how long this regime can continue to fudge the economy along without the consumers being any the wiser. People don't say much about the rising oil prices or other costs...they just want their cheap Wide Screens and SUV. America corporate culture knows this and preys on it.
