Poll question: TR vs GWB - Battle of the Repubs!
Edited on Wed May-18-05 11:38 PM by rndmprsn
ok folks...its the battle of the repubs, who would win in this match.

TR - "a real cowboy"

He used to box in the White House and damaged his eye badly.

He used to swim in the local river naked in the winter with diplomats.

He would take his kids on "over, under, through" walks and stick to the rules.

He transformed his body from weakling to boxer and beat his fraile sickly youth.

He used diplomacy and helped to end the Russo - Japanese War and won the nobel peace prize.

He created the National Parks System

He was shot and still delivered a speech.

He would walk NYC alone at night in the worst parts just to check up and make sure the police were doing their jobs (as police commissioner).

He took on the most powerful corp/trusts in the country and didn't back down despite daily threats and major attacks on him.

--

GWB - "...all hat no cattle"

He threatens from the saftey of the white house..."bring it on!"

He own a ranch with no horses.

He is an elite east-coast dandy in denial.

He was "arranged" to go into the TX air-guard avoiding the Vietnam War.

He went AWOL from his TX air guard unit.

He supported the Vietnam War, but wouldn't fight in it.

He read "pet goat" while the country was being attacked on 9-11

He caves into powerful Corp interests...indeed they are his friends and backers.

He created "health forests" and "clear skies" initiatives that sell off public land and makes the environment worse.

i could go on and on...

5. Teddy was far from perfect (phillipines was an issue I think) but
he'd be so much better for the environment than **.
