2. He was a fabulous character impersonator
I thought that in many ways he was better than Rich Little.

3. Awwww. He's a Pittsburgher.
Saw him a couple of years ago in a one-man play about George Burns. He was really good.

RIP

Why were you so f****n cool?

Definitely, one of my faves from the old batman. I used dress up like him as a kid. :)

RIP.

6. He was in St. Paul in March with the play, you couldn't tell
he was sick. That's a trooper.

7. He had lung cancer
It appears to have spread pretty fast, and Gorshin had developed cancer-related pneumonia in recent days.

He was great. So were all those Bat-Fiends, like Burgess Meredith (the Penguin), who also died lately. I'll miss them all.

8. I'll never forget his appearance on MTV
Where he played opposit Adam West in a parody short of Interview with the Vampire.

He had a special kind of sense of humor and will be sorely missed by all who enjoyed his broad acting ability and humor.

9. Remember him from the Ed Sullivan Show...he was a wonderful
mimic...I seem to remember doing a stellar Kirk Douglas impersonation.

11. So Long Frank
My 7 year old son was a big fan. We have the DVD set of the Beatles appearances on Ed Sullivan, well Frank Gorshin appeared on the show along with the Beatles. He did a great set of impersonations. What is kind of odd is that my son now tries to do impersonations of Burt Lancaster, Marlon Brando and Kirk Douglas.....

I'm gonna hate telling him the news....
