After seeing George Galloway take Norm Coleman to the woodshed
It made me wonder...

WHY DID IT TAKE A BRITISH MP TO DO THAT?

Why haven't we seen more of this from our elected Democrats?

3. It's a spine thing,
and the dems don't have it. Everyone once in awhile the spine stiffens in a dem, but then he/she quickly overcomes the stiffen spine and trips over him/herself apologizing.

4. The British system makes people grow spines
They have great knock down drag out debates - not the BS "debates" we have in the Senate.

7. Don't forget -- FOX News and Blue State/Red State voters

Gorgeous George certainly doesn't shy away from telling it like it is in Britain, too -- but don't forget our own folks always have one eye on their next election -- and let's not even talk about the masturbatory glee with which FAUX, Drudge, Limbaugh, (Falafel) O'Reilly, Coulter et al. would have taken in denouncing with spitting venom, 24/7 on every screen and radio in this country, if one of our own sat down and said exactly what Mr. Galloway did today. And with FAUX being #1 in the market, and gullible Kool-Aid drinkers swilling it down and holding out their cups for more, this kind of truth-telling on the part of a Democratic leader would be a sheer act of "I may not get to the mountain with you" courage. (Also the whole MSM wide-eyed thing of "are you accusing our president of -- !!!!" would be thrown into the mix.)

Look at what Howard Dean, Harry Reid, Barbara Boxer, Louis Slaughter, Robert Byrd, Henry Waxman, John Conyers, Stephanie Tubbs-Jones and many of our other representatives go through every time they dare utter out loud the truth that dare not speak its name about what's happening in this country.

We do have some Democratic heroes of our own in this country -- and maybe now Mr. Galloway has opened up the path a little wider for some more.

12. Fox is already starting to bury it.
Checked out the Fox coverage for a laugh and they used a clip of Carl Levin arguing with Galloway instead of the one where he brings Coleman down 10 pegs.MSNBC wasnt much better but at least they showed some of Galloway letting Coleman have it.

16. Thanks, flygal! --
You're right -- that's why it was so great to see Mr. Galloway seize the opportunity to talk truth to power today.
