Carl Levin is not a Republican lickspittle
Carl Levin voted against the Iraq War (unlike both members of our Presidential ticket last year).

Carl Levin voted against Condi Rice for Secretary of State.

Carl Levin has led the effort to demand administration accountability for the intelligence failures and deception that led up to the Iraq war.

Norm Coleman one can dismiss as a rightwing flunkie. Carl Levin is a true progressive and anti-war voice.

4. Levin went after Galloway pretty hard, and Galloway and his fans
Edited on Tue May-17-05 01:00 PM by geek tragedy
have been describing the allegations against Galloway as part of a Republican lickspittle mob.

They've effectively been smearing the good Senator.

6. Ooooh. I'm at work, so I have missed all the excitement
aside from reading bits and pieces here.

Levin is a hard-ass, but he's generally a damn good hard-ass, one of the good guys.

I'll have to do some catching up tonight!

2. Is this because of how he responded to Galloway?
I missed the broadcast. What did Levin do, exactly?

3. Carl Levin should have objected to adjourning that
hearing.

5. On the upside...ending it like Coleman did...
in essence let Galloway get in the last word...as opposed to so many of these Senate jokes where they all sit up there preaching and pontificating. Instead we're left with Galloway's words hanging in the air.

I kinda like that. now if only the MSM would have the guts to broadcast what he said tonight at 6pm. *yeah right*
