He's a great modern Chriatian writer, but the New Pharisees already know and hate him.

Yes, they hate him. In the name of Jesus, of course.

2. I love Bishop Spong's writings and common sense. Where, oh,

where are the other sensible relgious leaders in this country? Why don't they come forward and support ideas like those of the bishop? Surely, they are educated...some of them at least. I can't believe an educated minister believes that God actually told people what to write more than a 3000 years ago. When I hear people say something is God's word, I think those words were thought up and written by people...not God.

No offense intended who believe otherwise on here, but that's my belief.
