MOYERS: Radical Repukes Loathe Truth

Bill Moyers denounced on Sunday the right wing and top officials at the White House, saying they are trying to silence their critics by controlling the news media. ....

Moyers said he knew his broadcasts have created a backlash in Washington.

"The more compelling our journalism, the angrier became the radical right of the Republican Party," he said.

"That's because the one thing they loath more than liberals is the truth. And the quickest way to be damned by them as liberal is to tell the truth." ....

1. I saw a replay of his speech on C-Span tonight
It was something to behold, absolutely amazing, unbelievable, eloquent and a perfect documentation of the end of America as we know it. A damning indictment, named names, kicked ass, took no prisoners.

I'm telling you, his speech would be a fitting epitaph for the country....it should be inscribed on the gravestone marking the death of our country.

I do not exaggerate.

4. It will be inscribed on the keystone of the rebirth of our country
The passion and energy with which he spoke was indeed "something to behold" and wasn't it inSPIRing?

Folks waiting for leaders to appear on the horizon? Here it is: eloquent and passionate patriots rousing the rabble, as ever.

Listening to him reminded me of Jello Biafra's spoken word work. JB said a couple decades ago "Become the media." What else is left?

Moyers on how well-researched NOW was:

"We're getting it RIGHT-- not Right Wing."

2. You know

We get on Texas a lot in here for a large part of the element in that state, but Texas Democrats are BAD ASS. Jim Hightower, Rather, Rackjite.com, Molly Ivins, and Bill Moyers.

I'm waiting for it to download (now at 70%) and looking forward to seeing it.

Thanks for the alert.

Long live Bill Moyers!
