will really hit the fan when they get home. You know they aren't getting fair news coverage (I mean, who is, but still).

No jobs, benefit cuts, crappy economy, and they went there for a lie.

3. I can't carry a tune, but you remind me of what
a friend (altho Smirk defender, but we usually just don't talk politics) said last week when I brought this up:

He said: MARK MY WORDS, ON THIS DATE JULY 10, YOU WILL REGRET CALLING THE PRESIDENT A LIAR WHEN FOUR MONTHS BEFORE THE ELECTION THEY FIND WMD!!!!! He was absolutely livid.

I just smiled and said "Yeah, and they won't be planted, right?"

Clinton lied, Hillary (might have) cried; Bush lied, thousands died!

The sound of nails hammering the coffin shut is getting louder and faster.

Soon I expect it to reach a voodoo frenzy pitch.

But while Bush may be out, will the entire cabal be forced out?

One must be careful when weeding... make sure you wet & loosen up the soil enough to pull out the entire weed and not just the part above ground.

Peace

9. Oh I trust you. I've been pinching myself and holding my breath
Bush is out, that's for sure. My fear though is that the cabal will sacrifice him and get rid of him themselves (plane crash? hide him out with Osama?) to make sure they can remain entrenched.

I want them ALL out. Especially the wizard of OZ Cheney... Need to make sure we pull the curtains and yank him out of there!

33. ABC News tonight with Terry Moran (Jennings on vac?)
put the spotlight on Cheney--looks VERY likely that he will go first. Also, at Common Cause is a letter from VIPS telling Bush* to drop Cheney. Interesting--and all this is happening very, very fast now.

I hope the American public finally realizes what an bunch of unAmerican SOBs are leading us into ruin, both financially, and in world events.

It has always been incredible to me that anyone could have been glad that awol, cheatin' lyin' silver coke spoon Bush was president when 9-11 occurred...

unless they're a part of PNAC.

I hope your dad's predictions prove out.

Cheney, Rummy, Condi, Georgie...they have all, it seems to me, demonstrated their collaboration in this lie...and others, imo.

Is our leadership up to the task? This is make it or break it for my loyalty to the Democratic Party.

If there was EVER a time for action, IT'S NOW!

My dear Democratic Reps,

Do NOT let us down now! If you do, you can kiss this vote good-bye because you will have proved to me that Nader was right and that it will have to get a lot worse before it can get better; that it will have to get to the point where the people take to the streets and topple the entire rotten house of cards.

As much as I wanted Nixon gone, it took a long ass time before I allowed myself some hope.

17. Really? I was just in an AOL chat room about how Bush downplayed
the Uranimun issue and the repubs there were accusing Clinton of lying about more than getting a BJ! Imagine that? They claim Bush only followed the info he had, and that he shouldn't be blamed for 'faulty' info! However, it is all Clinton's fault! as per usual! I can't get to excited about this! I agree with a DUer who said that Bush could be caught with a live boy and a dead underage girl in his bed concurrently and it wouldn't matter! I whole heartedly agree! At this point, I don't see anything bring Bush "down"! :argh: But it is nice to have a dream!

21. this will be their undoing
these repukes who only care if Clinton did something will alienate the moderates in this country.

Americans, I can say with pretty good certainty, do not take kindly to the way the Bushies are lying and then trying to justify it by legalities. This has only begun to sink in with people.

As this conflict shows that it is not over, I would expect Americans to hold their leaders responsible for putting our troops, our sons and daughters there.

And it had better not be based upon lies and verbal gymnastics.

The more Bush tries to avoid taking responsibility, the more the American people will turn on him.

I hope you are correct in your summary of the American Public's perception of what our "leaders' should be held accountable for. I just remember seeing a headline on whatever news network I was watching this morning that said, " CIA takes the heat, is President Bush off the hook?" I can't even imagine that if this had been former Pres Clinton or even Pres Gore, that this would have been the same headline! I am sick and tired of this!

24. This is not the top of the iceberg this is the secret hidden in the cellar
The press is acting like they just found out about the SoTU speech thing (they should have known already) but I have yet to hear one of them couple it with the WMD claims and terrorist links. In other words IT'S ALL LIES and this is the concrete proof that they knew and deceived.

This is the MO

Decide Policy (done while stewing in their own juices for 8 years)
Test the "Message" on focus groups
get something to back it up or tell them to keep their mouths shut
If all else fails create your own confirming agency.

26. A little too optimistic here..
If Bush can get away with invading another country, then he sure as hell can get away with lying about why he wanted to do it. The public might not like being lied to, but they're disinterested in the whole uranium and WMD business as a reason to excoriate the president. If Democratic candidates focus on this as a reason to crucify Bush, we stand no chance in the election. The economy is the only bludgeon we can use against the president..the public just won't care about anything else.

29. You complain about Bush* lying and getting away with it...
...and then say we shouldn't 'focus' on it? Doesn't sound very logical. The only way Bush* CAN get away with it is if we don't focus on it.

- We're not support to honor the 'rule of law' and the Constitution because some Americans are 'disinterested'?

- Hayzeus. No wonder the Dems are the minority party.

30. Politics is more than just "what is right"..
...it's what people care about. I fail to see the connection between criticizing the president for lying and the need to use it as a major factor in an upcoming election. The first Bush lied through his teeth about his motivations for the first Gulf War and for Iran-Contra. Clinton mentioned neither very much during the campaign, focusing instead on the economy. This is because the public supported the war and saw the fact that almost no one took any serious heat for the Iran-Contra affair as a sign that it wasn't that big a deal.

Flash forward to today. People still support the war, even if the reasons were a sham. No one is going to get any prison time for lying about the war or anything else. We've had so many things that were going to bury this president before..his draft dodging, cozying up to Enronites, revelations about his insider trading, yet none of these bore fruit. This is the modern age and in the modern age, anyone who waves the flag hard enough and eats enough apple pie is wholly immune from suffering political damage from any scandal short of sex with the dead. Ergo, any political campaign hitched on demeaning a super-patriot is bound to fail.

The campaign needs to be about the economy and domestic issues. The press just adores wasting time on the WMD stuff, because they know that the public just won't care enough about any of it to have a negative view of the president. They'll keep this up for as long as they can into the campaign season to keep people distracted. If they do, we're toast.

YOUNG Americans are returning to U.S. soil in caskets in increasing numbers. When the meme catches on that these deaths were based on a lie, there will be hell to pay. *&cabal are pissing in the faces of the intelligence and military communities. This is something new.

...because too many Americans didn't do what was right as opposed to 'winning' at all costs.
