Now that Newsweek apologized will Bush now apologize for Iraq debacle?
The lies from Newsweek are not any worse than the lies leading up to the Iraq war.

2. "What debacle"? Unlike Newsweek, truth and responsibilty not Bush's job
Bush hasn't even admitted that much. He's the president, not a magazine. He doesn't have to face the truth.

He and Newsweek are dealing in entirely different worlds. The press has an obligation to check facts. Warmonger presidents don't.

The press has an obligation to think about the effect of the story. Warmonger presidents kill and kill and let die and spend billions and they don't have to think about tomorrow.

3. You just don't get it -
Edited on Mon May-16-05 05:26 PM by libhill
Only Republicans are allowed to lie with impunity. Mr. Clinton, "I did not have sex with that woman" - a lie which had no effect on anyone but himself and his wife, led to impeachment. Mr. Bush, "Iraq has weapons of mass destruction", a lie which cost the lives of thousands of Iraqi civilians and U.S. soldiers, and continues to do so - not a fucking thing happens. And you expect an apology from this unspeakable asshole? Don't hold your breath.

5. Being a boosh** means never having to say you're sorry.
(That was from the first draft of "Love Story", before Segal decided that Al Gore was a much better model than Frat Boy Caca El Supremo.)
