Boston NSTAR Electric workers striking at midnight, PENSIONS etc
Tick tock, fat cat companies. The masses are getting restless!

====

Unresolved: Retiree health benefit cuts, forced overtime and proposed reductions in pension and savings plan benefits. An NSTAR spokesman said that the workers are asking for too "rich" of benefits.

===
Union leaders say a key unresolved issue is staffing levels for system maintenance. NStar has been blamed for recent "stray voltage" incidents involving electrical currents being conducted by manhole covers. In some cases, dogs have been electrocuted. The union claims increased staffing would improve maintenance.

1. Is that a whiff of 1877 wafting over the land.
Strikes from one end of the nation to the other. Much of our currently-being-destroyed labor legislation dates from then, not FDR.
