This is the latest news -May3- that I can find on this guy. He was kidnapped over a month ago. His family moved out of their home. Hardly any comment to the media. And the media seems content to just 'leave it all alone' for some reason too.

ROLLING PRAIRIE, IN — The location of Jeffrey Ake, the founder of water treatment supply company Equipment Express, who was kidnapped over three weeks ago in Baghdad, Iraq, remain a mystery for United States officials and family members hoping for his return.
The US government has made only brief comments since Ake was kidnapped at a water treatment plant near Baghdad, presumably working on a private contract to help rebuild Iraq's water infrastructure.
The Associated Press (AP) reported on WNDU-TV (Notre Dame U TV) that the only public reaction from Ake's family has come through the police chief of his hometown in LaPorte, IL. Police officials have stated the family would not comment on the case at the FBI's advice.
Last week, Ake's wife put the family's home up for sale, the report said.

I know someone who saw a local Indianapolis tv report aweek or so ago that showed the Ake's moving out of their house too, with only a comment that they 'were moving'. Odd, huh? So it looks like it has been sold to raise funds for ransom, if you ask me. And no individual family could negotiate for a release over there without the complicity of the Bush Regime since they dont negotiate with terrorists, right?
Can anyone else find anything on this? Like the name of the companies he owned. I wonder if they are being sold suddenly too?
The oddest thing I find about this case is the utter lack of follow-up in the media, which of course started out both barrels with it---then nothing. Nothing at all. Like they are following orders to keep it off the radar.
