Watching a commercial about kids with cancer and a thought comes to mind
Edited on Sun May-15-05 04:24 AM by ariellyn
These poor kids are probably being raised by parents who support **--who supports the very corporations that pollute the landscape causing cancers. A virtual political ecosystem exists as they feed off one another.

I would like to see an analyses of the money the drug companies make off of various types of drugs. I bet it would go a long way toward explaining why we don't have a cure for cancer.

<brain dump over>

2. I used to work for the Pharmaceutical Industry
The profit margins on the major drugs are enormous. A margin of more than 50% is often achieved which many times more than the fast majority of 'ordinary' products. It is being justified by saying that it costs enormous amounts of money test and research new drugs. Yet the majority of drugs which are being researched are for illnesses for which there are already many products. It was always a new drug for hypertension. That was the favourite subject there. Let's make a new drug for hypertension :silly:

One thing though. The people in the Medical division of the industry are usually good people, but half the big companies consists of the Marketing division and you don't want to know the way they talk about patients, risks and money. It's simply disgusting and they have a very large say in what goes on. In an ideal world the Marketing division should be very small and limited if it comes to healthcare.
