I've figured out what bothers me the most about this administration.
Indeed, the lies, unnecessary wars and reckless spending are terrible...but the thing about these guys that pisses me off the most is how they don't even put forth much of an effort to cover it up. The only thing I hate more than being lied to is being lied to in a fashion that assumes I'm a total moron and won't notice it.

Am I alone here? It's irritating being treated like an idiot on a "need to know" basis, and even more so that so many people seem to be falling for it.

4. When describing this administration, does the phrase "contempt
for the American public" fit?

Those who aren't too stupid to notice are impotent to stop them.

with dashes of duplicitiousness, reichousness, and mendacity and bingo, hypocrisy rules the day.

7. With control of both Houses of Congress
they can get away with the arrogance and deceit. No hearings , no debate, no contest.

Hopefully the Americans people will see through to the truth.

12. Yes, it's contempt. The contempt of an abuser who is confident he'll
never have to answer for anything he does.

13. What bothers me is the corruption from inside out.
I wish we had laws that would strongly discourage this. Then maybe the likes of BushCo would be looking for money to loot elsewhere, not in our government.

16. "It's not about the WMDs or the 1600+ dead soldiers..."
"...it's about the LYING."

Remember how Clinton was publicly pilloried about his LIES (because it was of course never about a sex scandal)? That should be the new mantra after the Downing Street Memo.

"The President LIED about the timing of the decision to go to war. He lied to the American People. The fear-mongering and subsequent casualties are not the issue here, and frankly, I don't care about those things." (As though salacious sex talk in the one scandal and gratuitous death of American soldiers and Marines in the other can just fade into the background of the scandal.)

If someone asks you why you can't stand Bush, tell them "it's about the lying" in just this way. Whatever the consequences of the lie, the important thing is the lying.

17. Yep
In the beginning they tried but now they were "re-elected" they don't even try anymore. They're very arrogant and high with power.
