Hmmm.....Might This (Mine)Conspiracy Theory Hold Water About Yesterday?
Edited on Thu May-12-05 06:21 PM by FinallyStartingToWin
I keep reading all the posts on the plane yesterday. I'm still not sure what to think or believe. Was it planned again? Was it a distraction? Was it overhyped? Etc...

Firstly though I haven't decided for sure, I'm pretty convinced the cessna was real and the pilots simply off course by a hair. I think the reaction was overhyped for effect.

But what about the details of * not being told? Well I haven't seen this theory here yet, but I'm thinking maybe he was in fact told. Maybe he was told immediately about the so-called threat but was also quickly briefed that it was in essence a harmless cessna and that he needn't not worry, and continue with his bike ride. But wait, everyone was running out of the Capitol, terra drama, we couldn't have all that happening while the Pres continued to ride his bike having had been briefed could we? We wouldn't want some passerby with a vid camera or other witness to his nonchalantness showing up on the next Michael Moore movie exposing *'s utter incompetence to the nation again like with my pet goat would we? Better tell the media he just simply wasn't informed at all.

Think about it. Could it hold any water?

1. If he knew he probably hoped it hit something so it would boost
his numbers.

3. What was the pilot's name??
Does anyone know? Was it Mohammed? Or was it Smith? Was it ever made public? Shouldn't that be something that should be public?

4. I'm thinking he's not actually in the command loop.
The real decision makers were handling the situation. Bush will be trained how to talk about the whole thing later (today, tomorrow), make a half-assed statement that the press will clean up as usual, and everything will continue as planned.

I think those decision makers were told about the incoming plane, and told it was essentially harmless. They then decided, in light of current poll numbers, that the public could use a little fear injection, and issued a red alert. Some favored press people were given the "inflame this" nod, and the other media figures sheeped along.

Delay who?

5. I'd just like to know where NORAD was on Sept. 11th
I'm surprised people aren't thinking about that (not in DU), I mean people in the town I live in, etc.

Ready to blow this little plane away and he's 3 miles from the whitehouse...jesus...NOTHING happened on 9/11.

I used to love living in the US.

6. Has anyone done an internet background check,
DU style, on the guy that flew the plane--do we even have his name?

10. I think it's most telling that they would just let these guys go...
For Christ's sake... they want to charge the runaway bride for searching for her(which should not be a crime), but they just let these guys go.

How much did it cost to deal with that mess yesterday?

Just sayin'...

11. He is basically irrelevant except when they coach and tutor him and
he gets into it and starts 'owning' it, then finds that someone gets in the way...then, his psyche takes over - the psyche that is dominated by loyalty, betrayal, and revenge. I think this psyche is so eruptive that his demands must be attended to since he is doing them a favor by flying all over the world to spread their message. He performs. They reward. Part of the reward is time to ride the bike or play the video games (or more), but more disastrously, part of the reward is the expresseion of his psyche. Since he doesn't care to know all the details of an issue, his conclusions can be erroneaous and get out of hand. Consequences of ignoring his will could be explosive or simply create a sensitive and sticky situation. I would think that every one might walk on tippy-toes a good part of the time with him. But, yesterday...he was irrelevant ....at that moment....just as he was on 9-11. Cheney was in his bunker...what else mattered?

Just my speculation...if I were in Hollywood, that's the way I'd draft the made-for-tv-movie. Too bad he is not just a movie character.

12. I also wonder just how often he goes bike riding in MD?
First I have heard of that behavior. I know he rides his bike down on the ranch, er I mean the Western White House *cough cough*, but I have never heard that he had a regular routine of riding while in Washington.

I just find it odd that he never seems to be there when these things go down and he NEVER seems to show any concern when they do happen until much later.

I don't know what they don't get about the fact that it is much more than about HIS safety, but about just who is in charge.

How can he be our savior if he doesn't even know what is happening because he is out cutting brush or riding his bike. Wouldn't he want to know that his wife was evacuated or does he not care about that either?

Go ahead Georgie, take a drink. You can't possibly do any worse drunk than you are while sober.

13. Liked this line from the WaPo article
"He was out at the Patuxent Wildlife Research Center in Beltsville, riding his bicycle -- at noon on a Wednesday -- blissfully unaware." Emphasis mine.

14. Everything this administration does is hype or else we have the
most incompetent secret service people in the world. Remember when they said they had to fly Bush all over the country on Sept 11 no matter what he said? And then these same ss guys take Laura and Jenna to the very building that was marked for a strike because she said she wasn't afraid and would go anyway. Then yesterday they evacuate everybody in Wash, but let Bush continue on his little bike ride like nothing was wrong. Hype, hype, more hype and bullshit. And I just find it hard to understand why the ss guys don't do something or say something to save their reputation.
