Bolton Nomination Battle Becomes 'Bash Gays Day'

I don't know if anyone else has noticed, but the pervasive anti-homosexual rhetoric over the Bolton nomination today has been pretty sickening.

It started with Senator Allen talking about how we don't need a nominee who spends time at "tea parties" or some such nonsense...

Then Congressman Barr was on TV ranting and screaming about just how bad, just bad, just infurrrrrriating it would be to have a UN ambassador who was a "pansy" and who spent time "sipping tea with their fingers up, their pinky up"...And what did Miles O'Brien on CNN say to that? "Well I doubt they'd be drinking just tea."
