Keys to the White House Point to Turnabout in 2008
This has been cross posted in Editorials as well. Please don't send me to DU Gitmo for the cross-posting :-(

"Although the next presidential election is three and a half years away, the Keys already point to a dramatic political turnabout in 2008. It is still too early for a definite prediction. However, the Keys suggest that the Democrats are likely to regain the White House in 2008 regardless of their choice of a nominee. The difficult historical position of the Republicans also explains what’s happening in politics today."

Here's the lincque to the full article.

He was right in both 2000 and 2004. Damn, I hope this is true.

1. It's good news..But..I wonder if there is going to be anything...
...to Govern.
The Repugs will (by then) have run up the deficit so bad and run the rest of the country into the ground, even worse, that I doubt much is going to be accomplished..

9. The economy and the debt will be tough to get out of, but there are all
the social and civil rights and freedoms that will need attention. There's much good that will come from a Dem administration that will not be costly.

The rest of the shitstorm's fallout ..... it will be everywhere.

2. The keys are subjective
He claims to have predicted a Gore popular vote win in 2000, but that depends on a subjective interpretation of what counts as "Scandal" and what counts as "foreign policy success or failure"

4. Yep
I think that's one of the many reason's why 2006 is important to us. If we take back the majority next year we can work on getting rid of the voting machine's for 2008 and that way we can hopefully have a free and fair election like we deserve. I hope people will be fed up enough to vote democratic all the way next year.

7. This is assuming that it can't be used to fix 2006 elections as well
We'll find out soon I guess.

5. Something I'm wondering
When Clinton won in 1992 what all was going on with BushI? Were people fed up with him like people are getting with junior? I was a young child back then so I didn't know. Just wondering from those who were old enough then.

8. I believe it was "the economy, stupid"
that did in Bush I. At least that's what Carville kept hammering away at. The economy seems to be causing Bush II some problems, too.

6. If the Dems do regain power
we'll be the people shoveling up elephant shit after the parade. Then the 'Murkins will point and say, "Eeewwwwww! they shovel shit!"

10. Yeah, I don't envy any Dem that wins that contest.
There is going to be mucho guano to clean up. Hopefully, the people that vote for the Dem will understand that.
