Look out for your SUVs repugs.

I stopped by local recruiting station this morning, mentioned that I'm prior service and felt it my duty to help them reach recruiting goals by spreading the word, upon hearing about the shortage.

So now I'm armed with a stack of brocheres, and WILL be driving around parking lots when I get off work. So if I see any form of "W", "Bush / Cheney" or any other supporting sticker on a vechile...you will have something waiting under your windshield wiper for you when you get back out.

60. That's fine
I'm as capable of tearing up those forms as any Rethug is. And I won't even litter.

Personally, I'm adopting this idea for ANY vehicle sporting a pro-Bush** sticker. Guess I'm just too liberal to believe that, oh, an '04 Ford Taurus with a "W" on it that gets 19/26mpg and does 50 miles a day RT commute is any less deserving of black & white "gas guzzler" contempt than my '96 Jeep with a DU sticker that gets 17/21mpg and leaves the driveway maybe four times a week for local driving.

service by dirving those things, then they can drive the real deal and not some wussie civilian version with comforts.

I still don't understand how hummers made it to the civilian market like they did. I hated driving those things when I was in, espicially in convoys on the road. I over compensated and was always goin off the road a little. Dang things were just too wide for the lane lol.

EDIT which is weird cause the few times I got to drive a duece n half or 5 ton truck I never had that problem just with dang humvees.

32. You should also leave them at Young Conservative meetings and private
high schools where only the wealthy can afford to send their children. Whenever some pro-war, jingoistic, right-wing nutjob speaks at a college campus (like Anne Coulter did recently at the University of Texas), we ought to make sure that all the members of all the sponsoring organizations are invited to sigh up. Too funny.

Play it straight like you're a serious supporter. Tell them you'll drop off their filled in forms at the local recruiting office. See how many start hemming and hawing and making excuses when you try to pass them out.

Contact recruiting offices tell them about Meetup.com and suggest to them that Republican and other conservative meetups might be a good place to recruit and that they should signup and attend the meetups. They're desperate to meet their goals so they just might try it.

33. You should include some kind of flyer so they get the point.
It should say something like "I see from your bumper that you claim to support W and his war. Now prove it by using the attached form or passing it on to a family member if you're ineligible." I'm sure it could be worded better but you get the general idea.

Of course, you'd be more likley to get actual recruits if you went to Dem cars. Everyone knows Dems do what's right (not saying The War in Iraq® is the 'right' thing .... no, no, no). Dems serve when the call is righteous. Repugs run. They get anal cysts. They have Daddy pull a few strings. They get college deferments. They find other priorities. They suddenly flatten their feet.

42. Just this morning, while driving in to work,
I saw a van that had two identical bumperstickers in its back window. They said "I'll Fight for Freedom". Well, since traffic was crawling (love that Atlanta traffic), I scrawled on a big piece of paper I had in the car a note to them and held it up in my window - "If you'll fight for freedom, why aren't you in Iraq????"

They shot me a bird. I just asked an honest question. Hmm... freepers. Truth hurts.

51. Good for you - I sticker cars with photos of injured vets
I printed some photos of severely injured soldiers on ink jet bumper sticker paper - printed them the size of playing cards and I keep them in my pocket. When I see a vehicle with Bush stickers, I slap one of my stickers over it. I always slap them on the yellow ribbons too. Last week a saw a vehicle in a parking lot with a yellow ribbon sticker that said "worth the price" - that one got two stickers.

58. a good one
This is really terrific, malmapus. I shall heed your advice and take many, many brochures for "repub-mobiles." I shall not only regard my flyering as activism, it will be therapy because I get so angry and disgusted when I see these behemoths that I find myself gritting my teeth.

I ran across this sticker awhile back which I had printed up as a flyer and which I stuck under Hummer windshields. It's actually from the Freeway Blogger:

Real soldiers are dying in their HUMMERS so you can play soldier in yours.
Love that one: it's cryptic and is like a dagger to the heart.

The "10 miles to the gallon, 2 soldiers per day" is good, too, except now it should be "10 miles to the gallon, 10 soldiers per day."

Cher

p.s. In a moment when restraint failed me, I asked a woman climbing into a Humvee ("W" sticker, too), "How small does your husband's dick have to be to buy a thing like that?" I looked at her SUV like I'd look at aphids on my prized rose bush. Wrinkled my nose, too. She turned red, her eyes bulged and she blurted, "How dare you!" and then she slammed the door in my face.

I'm a liberal dem , but I live in a mountain community and need my SUV with high-clearance. A Subaru just doesn't cut it when you have 18" of snow. Cut some of us some slack!

P.S. My SUV is not a Hummer. GMC.....and GMC employees are in the danger zone these days.
