The Christian Right and "Personal Responsibility"
Edited on Thu May-12-05 09:47 AM by OnionPatch
Yet another hypocrisy of the Christian Right is the whole "personal responsibility" thing.....They are always the ones pushing the idea that people need to stop relying on the government for everything and take "personal responsibility" for their own life's needs. The govt. should not be helping people with their medical care, food needs, education, etc. etc. etc. They have no right to use our tax dollars on that stuff, right?

Yet, they INSIST on the government propping up their religion! :wtf: Conservative Christians, take responsibility for your own religion (like the rest of the country does) and stop expecting our tax money and the government to promote it for you everywhere we turn! Does the word "God" have to be in the pledge to the flag, on the money, in our courtrooms for you to sustain your religion? I wonder how the American Buddists or Hindus, etc. are able to sustain their religion without all the government promotion? Is your faith so flimsy that you'll forget about God and your religion if you don't see the word "God" twenty or so times a day?

Stop whining that "secularists" are trying to take God away from us....no one can take your faith away from you. Walk the walk.....stop forcing your Christian symbols on all of the rest of us and take responsibility for your own religion and its promotion.

1. "....no one can take your faith away from you."
They don't have faith, they talk about it, but they lack the whole concept of faith in God.

God isn't a politician, yet the American Taliban have become deeply involved with the political process, Jesus preached about love and
forgiveness, Falwell and Robertson call for the deaths of gays and
feminists, and Falwell wants to kill terrorists in the name of God.

THe American Taliban love money and power, their true faith is in which politicians or elections they can buy, they take money from the
very same people who can least afford to give it. They lack ethics, they care nothing for those less fortunate then themselves.

I personally wouldn't lif a finger to help any of them, and that includes their wives and children, because I know that they would
destroy my children and grandchildren in the name of their true God.

And the name of the true God of the American Taliban is money. And,
according to 1 Timothy 6:10 "the love of money is the root of all evil."

2. Too bad
We can't object to having our taxes pay for their shit. It'd lower our taxes if we could object to it and not have to fund their churches. Financial responsibility people.
