this is the time of the conspiracy theorists. every action is suspicious
a plane flys too close to the white house, a phony grenade is thrown at bush overseas, the war, the economy, the elections, all have a stink over them, and everything that happens now, no matter how mundane, stirs up wild eyed theories.

is it any wonder?

2. It's not just security concerns that I don't believe.
It's these number released by the brush administration.

Chemical pollution released into the environment fell more than 6 percent in the latest report issued by the Environmental Protection Agency.

Commerce Department announced the second quarter trade deficit unexpectedly shrank in March to $55 billion.

Recent economic reports have more jobs being created in America than expected in March.

Energy Department said crude inventories grew by 2.7 million barrels

They are too convenient. Just when the stock market is beginning to tank, they release these amazing numbers. Just when more people are worried about dying from pollutants they release these amazing numbers. You can't trust the government anymore. They are continually lying to you.

3. remember the standard of truth set for Bill Clinton?
he told one lie, therefore, you can't believe anything he says. a liar is a liar. if he lies about one thing, he lies about EVERYTHING.

that's what bushco is doing literally. lying about every single action.

5. It's about Bush.
But not necessarily in the way that you're suggesting (IMHO.) I think it has a lot to do with the fact that most people here despise bush, and can't understand how anyone could actually like such an ignorant, vicious jackass. So they end up inventing wild theories of a shadow government pulling all the strings, where every single event is scripted and stage-managed. Unfortunately, the simple explanation is that quite a lot of Americans *like* Bush. Depressing, isn't it?

7. It is the climate of lies... there are so many
Lies that everything becomes suspect. They are criminals. They work together (that means at least two people conspiring to commit crime), so this is hardly a far fetched idea... but this is not theory. This is conspiracy fact... all the crimes thus far make all other acts criminal, even if they are not... does that make sense?

9. Yep the lies, but also the secrecy
Edited on Thu May-12-05 07:21 AM by Jose Diablo
The lies could not stand if there was not the closed government operation.

Without the secrecy, conspiracy theories could not get a foothold. It is because of the secrecy and the aroma of the lies that give the conspiracy a level of believability. The truth I think, is many of the conspiracy are true, else why have the secrecy?

I keep looking around and I don't see any enemies, except the ones our own government keeps creating and enabling.
