Okay, a grenade, a rogue plane, and a letter from the Democrats
Anyone worried something is in the works? Just as the Democrats in Congress (led by Conyers, a long-time hero of mine!) ask Bush a bunch of uncomfortable questions, we have two vague scares concerning him. The plane story on CNN's web page has made sure the British memo story is not the photo story. What else will happen to push Bush off the front burner? Is there something bigger, more distracting, in the works?

Just my paranoia for the day.

10. Remember Reagan?
He gets caught dead-to-rights selling weapons to a nation that had declared war on us, diverting those funds to terrorist organizations in Central America who were killing American priests and smuggling drugs into our country. He gives two completely contradictory statements as to how much he knew. He's obviously guilty of treason, stupidity, perjury, and just being an idiot. The investigation trails on so long that Bush gets elected and then on his way out pardons the two key figures who were going to be forced to testify against Reagan and Bush.

And that was when the Democrats controlled both houses of Congress and we had a reasonably honest Supreme Court.

Diversions only have to last so long.

4. You're not alone
Definietly not a lone. I think so too. They're trying to hold onto their power so they're using fear anyway they can.

9. How true
When the capital was being evacuated today my mom called to see if I knew what Bush's latest poll numbers are. Before we found out today's events were nothing, we were both assuming the polls and the plane were related.

11. Just going back to what works for them: Fear. Talking about SS was
a miserable failure. So, now they overreact to wayward planes and imply danger for Bush on foreignn travels. I bet their doing focus group studies right now to see if is helping the ratings.

12. Yes.
I think all those evacuations from the capitol were test drills for when the real thing hits the capitol.
