Got this from the DemocracyForamerica blog and I think it should be read to every democrat and independent in the US and also believe elected Dems everywhere should be steamed:

Dionne writes: "Grover Norquist, the president of Americans for Tax Reform and a leading figure in both the DeLay and Bush political operations, chose more colorful post-election language to describe the future. "Once the minority of House and Senate are comfortable in their minority status, they will have no problem socializing with the Republicans," he told Richard Leiby of The Post. "Any farmer will tell you that certain animals run around and are unpleasant. But when they've been 'fixed,' then they are happy and sedate. They are contented and cheerful."

I am convinced that Banana Republican misrule, however long and bitter it's likely to be, WILL end. The right wing's political actions and their private agendas have so many internal contradictions that Republican Party rule is bound to fail as thoroughly as that of the old Communist Party of the Soviet Union. If we Democrats can't get our acts together and tear the Republican machines apart, I'm convinced that a mass-based, passionate, and authoritarian Peronist/neo-Huey Long movement will eventually rise to do the job.

When that day comes and the new party takes power, the Republicans will be facing their days of reckoning. Given the temptations of power, I doubt that many of the GOPsters would be able to avoid criminal charges.

I wonder where the likes of Norquist will end up and what language that country will speak? Somehow, I doubt that it will be English.
