guess dennis miller was trying to salvage his career & old fanbase on leno
the other night when he said that he wasn't a conservative - excpet "only with this war"

he knew he was being canned and that his attempt to win over the coulter groupies and boosh voters was a failure. now he's trying to act like he didn't turn into a total wingnut overnight.

but as miller's former head writer, the always brilliant barry crimmons, said when miller called on booshvoters to beat up antiwar activists:

"The beauty of Dennis Miller is that everything he’s doing is on tape. What he has been saying will be available for review by people for a long, long time. He has carved a place for himself on the Rushmore of wrong-headedness, and there he will stay for years to come, a glowering, reactionary oaf for the ages."

so long, dennis! the left gave you career in the 80s and you tried to stab them in the back-for all the good it did you.

you made your bed now lie in it, you prick!

2. I saw him somewhere recently
Was it on The Daily Show? (I'm really sleep-deprived, so things are getting blurred.)

He was sucking up at such a pace, I really expected to see him cough out his own asshole.

Then he announced that he was always a libertarian. Made some "jokes" so strained, it was surprising he didn't give himself a hernia. All in all, he was a dreadful and pathetic bore.

It might have been my imagination, but I swear I recognized his voice in a commercial on TV for some men's haircoloring product. I certainly hope so.

3. yep, buh-bye
I used to enjoy his rants on the HBO show... they truly had some moments of brilliance.

Then this whole thing came along, and I simply couldn't believe that it was the same person, but it was.

And now he wants back in the group, after he's spent the last 4 years doing a seriously poor job of mocking us.

Yeah, right, whatever. There's a smelly little night club stage somewhere in vegas that has your name on it, mr. miller.

5. If he likes the war, join the army!
Since Dennis is out of a job and since he is all for the war in Iraq and since the Army is having trouble getting and keeping soldiers, why doesn't Dennis just go ahead and put himself where his filthy, turn-coat mouth is and go over there and risk his life as he was so willing to risk everyone else's life.

Wanna bet the coward doesn't!

6. Sorry Dennis, but you blew it by putting all your money on the wrong pony.
Plus even when he was bashing repugs, he wasn't that funny. The only time he was worth listening to was when Barry Crimmins was writing his material for him. The guy never had an original thought go through his head. Hell, even when he was on HBO, his ending skit called "the big screen" was ripped off from Al Franken and the original SNL crew.

Fukem. I'm sure he has a long career left ahead of him doing infomercials and verizon wireless commercials .

http://www.mediabistro.com/tvnewser/cnbc/cnbc_expanding_biz_day_programming_into_primetime_dennis_miller_cancelled_new_7pm_program_to_premiere_in_q3_21445.asp

Memo from CNBC president Mark Hoffman:

"I wanted to let you all know that we will be expanding our signature Business Day programming up to Primetime on the East Coast and will be adding an additional airing of "Mad Money with Jim Cramer" at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

We will be introducing a new Business Day program at 7 p.m. ET sometime in the Third Quarter. I will share additional details about this program in the coming weeks.

As the Business News Leader, it is incumbent upon us to ensure that our influential, out-of-home audience has access to our signature Business Day programming throughout their business day from coast to coast.

I have spoken with Dennis Miller about these plans and he has let me know that his strong preference is to leave his program immediately. Therefore, the final episode of "Dennis Miller" will air this Friday, May 13.

Dennis is an exceptionally talented comedian with an unmatched wit and he and his team consistently delivered a very entertaining program.
I want to personally thank Dennis, Eddie Feldmann and their entire group. We are all very proud of their accomplishments and wish them nothing but the best for the future
