Response from Compassion (from God in the Government thread)
Sorry, I am :dunce: & don't know how to link, but here is my response from Compassion. Anyone feel up to posting a Compassion link on an anti-Bush site & see how quickly they yank it?

Thank you for your recent email. Compassion does not have a
partnership with bushfish.org nor is there a chance of partnership in the future.
As a non-profit, Compassion is non-political and we do not engage in
political actions. We have sponsors and supporters from all ranges of
political viewpoints but who share the common vision of releasing
children from poverty. This site, bushfish.org, choose of their own volition
to donate proceeds to Compassion.

Just because an organization decides to donate to Compassion does not
mean that Compassion has entered into a partnership with them. We do
try to keep track of "undesired" links that are on pages that would be
against our mission (for example, if a porn site linked to us, we would
take action to have it removed), however, we make our link available for
sponsors and donors to promote Compassion on their own web pages.

Compassion makes no secret of the fact that we are Christian in word
and deed. Should someone visit us from this site (or others) and they do
not agree with our mission, values and statement of faith, there is
nothing forcing them to sponsor with us. If this group wishes to
encourage it's supporters to consider Compassion, that is their prerogative,
just as it would be yours or an organization that shared your views.
Compassion will continue to welcome sponsors who desire to release
children from poverty through one-on-one relationships.

Thank you for sharing your concerns. We are thankful for your
sponsorship and the difference you are making in (child)'s life. I appreciate
your concern for children in poverty around the world. If there is
anything else I can assist you with, please let me know.

1. Unless I am missing something, it sounds like an ok response.
Am I missing something? Don't flame me, just point it out to me.

2. Yes
a pretty good response, but part of me is wondering what the reaction would have been had they been linked to a site that supported a Democratic candidate/president.
